What we hold, and where it lives.

Draft notice. Memloc is a student hackathon project. This page describes what we intend to do in plain language, and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Treat it as a statement of intent, not a contract.
Your room map stays on your device
Memloc scans surfaces so it can recognise where you placed things. That map is surface geometry, not footage of your home, and it is written to the device you scanned with.
The app is designed to work with no network connection. There is no account to create and no sync service behind it, so there is no copy of your room on our side to lose, sell or hand over.
Your documents are yours
The PDFs, screenshots and notes you anchor are stored locally alongside the map. We do not read them, index them or send them anywhere. Deleting the app removes them with it, so keep your own copies of anything you cannot lose.
The one thing we do collect
If you hand us an email address through the early access form, we keep it for one purpose: telling you when there is a build to try. We will not sell it or pass it on. Reply to any message asking to be removed and we will delete the record.

Asking us about any of this
Write to hello@memloc.app and a human on the team will answer.
